Arthur Newman

Colin Firth and Emily Blunt star in Arthur Newman, helmed by Dante Ariola in his feature-length directorial debut. Newman is written by Becky Johnston, who adapted Seven Years in Tibet and The Prince of Tides.

Firth has appeared in several critically well-received films, and won the Oscar for Best Actor for The King’s Speech back in 2010. Emily Blunt appeared in last year’s sci-fi hit Looper, as well 2011’s Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.

Vertebra Films and Cross Creek Pictures are credited as production companies. Cross Creek was previously behind such films as Black Swan, The Ides of March, and The Woman in Black. Arthur Newman is distributed in the US through Cinedigm, who released the Oscar-nominated documentary The Invisible War.

Rant shall have a review of the film after its official theatrical release.
