Food Court Wars returns this Sunday.

Yoni and Jamaican-born Tomme, winners from Season 1, pose in front of their food court eatery, the Pimento Jamaican Kitchen.

Back for a second season, Food Court Wars gives aspiring restaurateurs the chance to win their very own eatery in a busy shopping mall, and run the establishment rent-free for one year—a prize easily worth $100,000.

Two teams compete with one another for the prize.  To win, they must serve their own brand of region-specific cuisine to famished mall-shoppers, and make more money doing so than the other team in a single day.

The format pits teams of married couples, siblings, and friends against one another in food-offs involving everything from hot dogs to beignets to brunch and beyond.

The 5 episode season starts in Traverse City, Michigan, followed by West Dundee, Illinois, then onto Zanesville, Ohio, followed by Hickory, N.C, and finally ending in Lewisville, Texas.

Food Court Wars is hosted by Tyler Florence, who’s previously hosted Food 911, How to Boil Water, Tyler’s Ultimate, and the similarly formatted The Great Food Truck Race.  Gordon Ramsey and Patricia Llewellyn serve as executive producers, among others.

Food Court Wars premiers in its second season Sunday, February 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PT / 7:00 p.m. CT on the Food Network.
